Amanda Pike is a documentary filmmaker based in San Francisco. She has reported and produced documentaries for PBS, CBS, ABC, National Geographic, A&E, Lifetime and The Learning Channel, among others. Her work has often focused on extreme political groups -- she once spent six weeks with the members of a right-wing militia in Utah, documenting their preparations for an armed standoff with the government. Recently, Amanda made a brief foray into fiction filmmaking, producing the short film “On the Assassination of the President” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

She received a BA in Anthropology from Princeton University and a Masters from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism.
